Legally, only containing 5% of this plant produced in the Canaries can be put on the label that "contains aloe vera canary".

"The quality of aloe vera canary is much higher" than that produced in the rest of Europe, said the adviser, so the problem of this practice is "the loss" of local production. Quintero reported that fraudulent aloe vera is no longer even imported into the dust and packaged in the islands as before, but now the product is already packaged and labeled because it is more profitable.
